Privacy Policy

This is a placeholder privacy policy for Rivl, a mobile-first platform for recreational racket-sports players. We are committed to compliance with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 (DPDP) and equivalent regulations across the regions we operate in.

What we collect

When you sign up for Rivl, we collect:

• Your phone number (used for OTP-based login and to identify your account)
• Your display name and chosen username
• Your primary sport and self-reported skill level
• An optional profile picture, if you upload one
• A device push token, so we can notify you about matches and bookings

Why we collect it

We collect only what is required to operate the service: authenticate you, rank you on the ladder, and send notifications you have opted into. We do not sell your data.

How to delete your data

You can delete your account from inside the Rivl app at Settings → Delete Account. Deletion is confirmed by re-verifying your phone via OTP and is irreversible. Your profile, matches, and ratings are removed; phone-related abuse-protection logs are anonymized.
